VU Blazer Baseball's season-opening games in Georgia cancelled

NOTICE: The Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team's season-opening games in Georgia scheduled for Sunday and Monday have been cancelled because of the weather forecasts in Douglasville and Rome, GA, where the Trailblazers were scheduled to play. VU Coach Chris Barney said the games will not be made up.
VU's home opener for the 2012 season is scheduled for a doubleheader against Ancilla on Feb. 25. The Trailblazers are also scheduled to play Ancilla in a nine-inning game the next day at VU's Jerry Blemker Field.

VU Trailblazer Tennis drops season opener at Northern Kentucky, 6-3

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Vincennes Univeristy Tennis Team dropped a 6-3 indoor decision at NCAA Division II Northern Kentucky Thursday night in the season opener for both teams.
The Trailblazers, reigning NJCAA champions, won three of the six singles matches after close losses at all three doubles points to start the team match
“They took it to us”, VU Coach Ron Albers said. “You’re not going to win when you only have one service break in three doubles matches in a nine point team match.”

It's VU Men's and Women's Basketball again on Saturday

It's VU Men's and Women's Basketball again on Saturday. Not a doubleheader, really, but a great chance to catch both teams in action.
The 6th-ranked VU Men host Kennedy-King at 3 p.m. and the VU Women take the VU P.E. Complex floor vs. Mineral Area at 7 p.m. Saturday.
