Blazer Baseball to hold June 13 tryouts for 2012-13 VU students; Pro-style workout for former H.S. players, potential transfers

The Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team will hold open tryouts for the 2012-13 team on June 13 (rain date on June 14) for players who have completed high school eligibility or student-athletes interesting in transferring to VU.
The tryouts will be at VU’s Jerry Blemker Baseball Field, starting PROMPTLY at 10:30 a.m. (EST), and registration will begin between 10 and 10:30 a.m. The tryouts will last most of the day, depending on the number of athletes participating.

VU Blazer Baseball's season ends with pair of setbacks at NJCAA Sub-District Tournament

PARMA, Ohio — A lack of clutch hitting and relief pitching doomed the Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team Friday on the first day of the NJCAA Region XII Sub-District Tournament and ended the Trailblazers' season.Owens defeated the Trailblazers 3-2 in the first round and Cuyahoga edged VU in the losers bracket 4-3. The Trailblazers ended the campaign at 36-19.“We had a great regular season, but this is a disappointing way to end it.

VU Blazer Baseball drops finale to Kaskaskia, 5-4

The Vincennes University Blazer Baseball Team’s bats provided as much thunder as the sky did early in VU’s game Tuesday with visiting Kaskaskia.
Then, the Trailblazer bats went silent over the final six innings and the Blue Devils came from behind for a 5-4 victory in VU’s regular season finale at Jerry Blemker Field.
