VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Trailblazers returned to Jerry Blemker Field Saturday afternoon for the final two games of this weekend’s four-game Mid-West Athletic Conference (MWAC) series with No. 2 Heartland Community College. The Trailblazers dropped game one of the day to the Hawks 20-2, before falling in game two 19-10. Vincennes got off to a slow start Saturday, with Heartland setting the tone early and often in game one of the day.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Trailblazers closed out the week on a high note after picking up their second win over an NJCAA Division I opponent in five days after defeating Frontier Community College 12-4 at Jerry Blemker Field Sunday evening. After giving up a run in the top of the first, the Trailblazers set the tone early at the plate in the bottom half of the inning, with the first four batters reaching base, including a two-RBI double by freshman Carter Whitehead (Huntingburg, Ind.). Vincennes did not just stop there however, with sophomores Dale Coy (Evansville, Ind.) and Mahkai Pelzer (Douglasville, Ga.) adding to the lead with RBI singles later in the inning before sophomore Kaden Elliott (New Albany, Ind.) blew the game open with a bases clearing three-RBI triple to give the Blazers eight runs in the first and VU an early 8-1 lead.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team continues to roll through their weekend series with Schoolcraft College at Jerry Blemker Field with a pair of wins Saturday afternoon. VU took down the Ocelots in comeback fashion in game one of the day 5-4 before coming back and picking up the six-inning run-rule 15-5 victory in game two. The Trailblazers got off to a slow start Saturday afternoon, with Schoolcraft responding back after being run ruled Friday night to score three runs in the first.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University baseball team has hit a rough patch early in the spring 2023 season and it continued into Saturday’s split doubleheader at Jerry Blemker Field. The Trailblazers fell to Morton College in the morning game of the day 10-7 and fell to NJCAA Division III No. 13-ranked Joliet Junior College 12-9 in the final game of the night. The day got off to a rocky start for the Trailblazers with Morton College putting up six runs in the top of the first inning.
