Outfielder Logan Hickman brings resilience, strong family values, and a blue-collar work ethic to the Vincennes University baseball program. A native of Cameron, West Virginia, Hickman chose Vincennes because of the academic opportunities available in Diesel Auto Technology, allowing him to prepare for a future career while continuing to compete in the sport he loves.
Family remains at the center of Logan’s motivation, driving his desire to succeed both on and off the field. Determined not to let those closest to him down, he approaches each season focused on earning a starting role in the outfield, contributing to a championship run, and continuing to grow alongside his teammates. One of the most memorable moments of his athletic career came during a sectional championship appearance in high school, an experience that strengthened his competitive mindset and appreciation for postseason baseball.
A multi-sport athlete at Hamilton Heights High School, Logan competed in baseball, football, and wrestling, earning recognition as a three-sport athlete along with All-Conference honorable mention honors. That diverse athletic background helped shape the toughness and versatility he brings to center and left field, along with a strong understanding of teamwork and preparation.
Away from baseball, Logan enjoys lifting, spending time outdoors, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. Inspired by Major League shortstop Francisco Lindor and motivated by the opportunity to test himself against elite competition, he embraces the challenge of improving daily while working toward long-term goals that include professional baseball aspirations and a future career as a lineman after college.
Guided by advice to let go of mistakes and focus on growth rather than dwelling on setbacks, Logan continues learning how to balance independence and responsibility while being away from home for the first time. Whether chasing stolen-base records, preparing for the next opportunity in the lineup, or simply enjoying time with teammates, he approaches every day as a chance to improve and make the most of his experience as a Trailblazer.
