Micheal 'Big Mike' Ephraim's path to Vincennes has been guided by family, faith, and a deep love for basketball. Inspired by his favorite player, Joel Embiid, he’s worked tirelessly to mirror that same mix of size, skill, and heart — striving every day to become a more complete player.

Micheal’s favorite saying, “Trust the process,” perfectly reflects his mindset on and off the court. His goals are clear: to lead the Trailblazers to wins, earn a spot in a major conference like the Big Ten or Big 12, and one day play the game professionally. His most memorable moment so far came when he helped his team win a state championship — an experience that solidified his belief that hard work always pays off.

Off the court, Micheal enjoys swimming, traveling, and spending time with friends. His favorite foods are Jollof rice and peanut butter cookies, while his go-to soundtrack comes from Burna Boy, especially the song “Empty Chair.” When he’s not training or studying Business, he finds peace watching his favorite show, Vikings, or imagining his dream vacation to Japan.

Motivated by family and grounded by faith, Micheal says his biggest lesson has been to never give up — no matter how difficult the challenge. He chose Vincennes University because of its strong tradition, brotherhood, and culture of excellence.
