Brayden Gough

Bio

Brayden Gough’s most memorable athletic moment came when he captured the conference tournament title, a breakthrough that reinforced his drive to compete at the next level. At VU, his goals are simple but focused: to improve from last year and help the Trailblazers win the regional tournament. Known for his positive outlook, he embraces the advice to “keep your eye on the ball” and admits he is motivated by both God and food. He also describes himself as an overthinker but says the best part of being an athlete at VU is the friendships he has built with his teammates.

Off the course, Brayden is majoring in Business Administration with career plans to pursue a future in social media marketing. His dream job is to become a social media marketer, though he jokes that the title of a movie about his life would simply be What’s for Dinner?. He enjoys golf, watching movies, and playing pickleball, and says he can’t imagine a week without popcorn. His favorite foods include spaghetti and Orville Redenbacher popcorn, while his favorite book is How to Win Friends and Influence People. He also enjoys Suits and The Shawshank Redemption, listens to Big X the Plug, and lists Rory McIlroy as his favorite athlete.

Brayden chose Vincennes University because of its larger, cleaner campus and the chance to continue growing his game. Supported by his parents, Rick and Angie Gough, both former Lake Land College athletes, and relatives with their own college basketball and coaching backgrounds, he brings a strong family connection to sports. With his faith, determination, and a motto that “a blind squirrel finds a nut eventually,” Brayden is ready to make his mark as a Trailblazer on and off the course.
