Bio

Logan Tucker brings a technical, forward-thinking approach into the season as a pole vaulter with national-level aspirations. His individual focus is breaking into the five-meter range and earning a podium finish at nationals, while helping the team place at the national meet as well. One of his most formative athletic moments came at Nike Nationals in Oregon, where he competed in challenging weather conditions—an experience that tested both confidence and composure under pressure.

Logan is motivated by perspective, grounded in the belief that each day presents a chance to build something meaningful. A question once posed by a coach—“What are you scared of?”—helped him break through a slump and reshaped how he approaches competition. Naturally reserved, he carries a calm, analytical presence into practice, focusing on fundamentals, problem-solving, and steady progress rather than emotion.

Academically, Logan majors in Electrical Engineering and plans to work in the engineering field, with long-term interests in automotive and motorsport technology. He is driven by curiosity about how systems are built and optimized, drawing inspiration from innovators and engineers who blend creativity with precision. His academic path reflects the same attention to detail that defines his approach to the pole vault.

Outside of track, Logan enjoys working on and driving cars, golfing, bowling, and following racing. He listens to a wide range of music, enjoys watching motorsports, football, and pole vault, and says he can’t imagine a week without time spent with friends or family. When people first meet him, he often comes across as quiet and reserved, though those traits give way to focus and thoughtfulness over time.

Logan chose Vincennes University because of the welcoming coaching staff, the campus environment, and the opportunity to continue developing both academically and athletically in a setting aligned with his long-term goals.

Coach Mangan on Logan...

"Logan is a mid-year transfer who brings a wealth of Pole Vault experience. The Blazers are looking for big heights by the end of the season from him."
