MATTOON, Ill. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers season likely came to an end Thursday night when VU faced off against No. 12-ranked Wabash Valley College in the Region 24/Midwest District Championship at Lake Land College in Mattoon and falling 102-52. The Lady Warriors first broke away midway through the opening quarter when Wabash Valley used a 10-0 scoring run to take a 24-9 lead. VU would finish the first 10 minutes of play trailing the Warriors 28-12 before the WVC lead continued to grow in the second quarter with a 12-0 scoring run.

ULLIN, Ill. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers continued their winning ways Thursday night after overcoming a slow start to pick up a 66-43 road win at Shawnee. The Lady Blazers got off to a slow start after the long bus trip to Ullin, with the Lady Saints jumping out to an early 9-2 lead in the first quarter. Vincennes would immediately wake up and battle back in a big way, outscoring the Saints 24-2 to roll into the halftime break holding a 28-15 lead.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers got their revenge after a December loss to the Lady Blue Knights in Olney by picking up a very strong 87-55 win over Olney Central Saturday night. The Lady Blazers wasted little time setting the tone against Olney Central, scoring the first eight points of the game and jumping out to a 14-3 lead. OCC picked things up offensively and answered back with a 7-0 scoring run of their own to cut the VU lead down to four.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers are again battling injuries, leaving Hall of Fame Head Coach Harry Meeks with just eight active players Saturday afternoon. The Lady Blazers battled a tough back-and-forth game against the Blue Angels of Kaskaskia College, using a late fourth quarter scoring burst to pick up the 75-69 Region 24 win. VU got off to a slow start Saturday afternoon, quickly falling behind 8-2, before rallying back to tie the game at 10-10.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers have had some pretty tough matchups so far this season, but Wednesday night might have been their toughest test yet. The Lady Blazers fell at home to No. 14-ranked Wabash Valley College by the final score of 101-53 after a big third quarter scoring run helped put the game away for the Lady Warriors. Vincennes held strong against the Lady Warriors early in the first quarter with the game remaining even until Wabash Valley grabbed control early with a 10-0 scoring run.

VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes University sophomore Cherrelle Newsom (Indianapolis, Ind.) has now hit 11 three-pointers in her last two games, hitting five at Lincoln Trail Wednesday night before adding six more Saturday afternoon in VU’s 93-75 win over Rend Lake College at the P.E. Complex. Newsom’s 148 career three-point makes puts her fifth all-time in VU Lady Trailblazers program history and is quickly closing in on the top spot of 171 set by Ashley Buis in 2010. The game got off to a back and forth start, with each team trading baskets before VU finally broke away with a 6-0 scoring run.

ROBINSON, Ill. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers got off to a hot start on the road Saturday night against Lincoln Trail College, scoring 16 of the first 20 points of the game and held off a second-half comeback by the Lady Statesmen to pick up the 68-59 Region 24 win. Lincoln Trail battled back in the first quarter after quickly falling behind by 12 to close out the opening 10 minutes of play on a 7-0 scoring run to cut the VU lead down to five at 18-13. The Lady Blazers would maintain a double-digit lead throughout most of the second quarter, heading into the break after a back-and-forth scoring battle with a 42-28 advantage over Lincoln Trail.

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers hit double digits in the win column just before the Holiday break after a Wednesday afternoon road showdown with Delta College. The Lady Blazers caught fire from long range, hitting 13 three-point shots on their way to an 82-57 win over the Lady Pioneers. The day did not get off to a great start for the Blue and Gold, with Delta College opening the game on a 10-2 scoring run on their home floor.

HILLSBORO, Mo. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers were on the road Saturday afternoon in a rematch of an early season meeting with the Lady Vikings of Jefferson College. The Lady Blazers trailed by as many as 28 before rallying back in the fourth quarter but ultimately ran out of time as the Lady Vikings got their revenge on their home floor winning over VU 60-56. Vincennes got off to a quick start at Jefferson, jumping out to an early five-point lead before the host Vikings quickly rallied back to take the lead.

DETROIT, Mich. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers hit the road Monday and made the long trip north into Michigan to take on Wayne County Community College in Detroit. The Lady Blazers bounced back from their two-game skid this past weekend to pick up a 77-42 victory over the host Wildcats. Vincennes got off to a quick start after the long bus ride, scoring the first seven points of the game.

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers suffered their first loss of the 2022-23 campaign Friday afternoon in the opening game of the VU Classic at the Physical Education Complex to No. 13-ranked Moberly Area College. Vincennes got off to a slow start Friday afternoon against the highly rated Greyhounds with Moberly Area scoring 21 of the first 24 points of the game. Vincennes would hit a couple of late baskets to end the first quarter with a 27-10 deficit.

VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes native and Lady Blazer freshman Maycee Lange finished off a 12-point, 11-rebound double-double to give the Lady Trailblazers a 75-54 win over Jefferson College in VU’s first game on the home floor this season. Both teams got off to a very slow start Tuesday night. The game was deadlocked at 1-1 midway through the opening quarter. Vincennes hit a few shots late in the first quarter to stay tied at 10-10 after the first 10 minutes of play.

MOBERLY, Mo. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers held on Saturday afternoon to pick up their second win of the season, fighting off a late comeback attempt to win 82-77 over Danville Area Community College on the final day of the Orschlen Classic at Moberly Area. Vincennes fell behind early Saturday, with the Jaguars racing out to an early six point first-quarter lead. VU would rally back with the help of an 8-0 scoring run to take the lead with just over two minutes to go in the opening quarter and take a 23-17 lead after the first 10 minutes of play.

MOBERLY, Mo. – The Vincennes University Lady Trailblazers began their 2022-23 season Friday afternoon at the Orschlen Classic at Moberly Area College. The Lady Blazers took on John Wood Community College and came away with a strong 81-55 victory behind a very nice performance from sophomore Chanice Willis (Champaign, Ill.) who led the Blazers with 24 points. Vincennes got off to a slow start but were able to pull away late in the first quarter to lead by six after the first 10 minutes of play.
