Bio

At VU, Alexandria “Allie” Black's goals are focused on steady progress and team success. She hopes to set a new personal record while staying healthy, and she wants to help the Trailblazers reach Nationals together while keeping the team atmosphere positive and drama-free. She embraces the advice from Star Wars — “There is no try, only do or do not” — and describes her motivation simply as a desire for constant self-improvement. Known for her bright personality, she laughs that when people first meet her, they often just think she’s “nice,” but friends quickly learn she can talk endlessly once she’s comfortable.

Off the course, Allie is pursuing a degree in Baking and Pastry Arts, with dreams of one day opening her own bakery. She enjoys baking, reading, running, doodling, watching rom-coms, and spending time with her cat, Cheese. She can’t imagine a week without food, especially carrot cake, which she lists as her favorite, or popcorn as her go-to late-night snack. She is also active in the Vincennes Cross Country Bible Study Group, where she has found a supportive community. Inspired by her faith, she says that if given the chance to meet any historical figure, she would choose Jesus Christ to thank him personally.

Allie chose Vincennes University because of the scholarship opportunity, the strong support for her career goals, and the chance to continue competing as part of a close-knit team. With her balance of ambition, humor, and determination, she is ready to make her mark both on the course and in the classroom.
