Bio
At VU, Rorri Bottum has her sights set on beating her high school personal bests and contributing to the Trailblazers’ team success. She carries with her the advice to “trust God’s plan,” and says her motivation comes from the sense of accomplishment she feels after every race. She describes herself as quiet or shy when people first meet her, but those who know her see her as determined, kind, and someone who always brings positivity to the team. Superstitious by nature, she keeps a set of “good luck ribbons” before races as part of her pre-competition routine.
Off the course, Rorri is majoring in Sonography, with career plans to complete her general studies at VU and then transfer to the University of Southern Indiana to pursue the sonography program. Her dream job is to become an ultrasound technician. She enjoys shopping, napping, and traveling, and admits she can’t imagine a week without her family. She dreams of visiting Thailand someday and jokes that if she could break any record, it would be to become the first woman to travel to the most places in the world.
Rorri chose Vincennes University because of its proximity to home and the opportunity to compete in a supportive, team-focused environment. With her perseverance, competitive edge, and motto that “if it’s meant to happen, it’ll happen,” she looks forward to continuing her growth as both a student-athlete and a teammate with the Trailblazers.
