Bio
At VU, Cabella Lemberg’s personal goal is to steadily decrease her times, while for the team she hopes to see everyone “keep improving” throughout the season. She is motivated by encouraging words, and guided by the advice to “always seek the Lord in all you do.” Known for her kind and welcoming personality, she says when people first meet her, they often see her as “kind,” but her teammates quickly learn that she also has a fun, competitive side. She even admits to a playful superstition about splitting poles, a small ritual she carries with her into competition.
Off the course, Cabella is majoring in Nursing, with career aspirations of becoming a registered nurse and eventually pursuing further studies in acupuncture. Her dream job is to combine her medical knowledge with holistic approaches to health care. She enjoys painting, working out, reading, and napping, and she says she can’t imagine a week without being around her family. Her favorite foods include tater tots and peaches, and she dreams of one day visiting Greece. She admires historical figures like Harriet Tubman, saying she would love to ask her what gave her the courage to keep going back and saving people.
Cabella chose Vincennes University because of the opportunity to continue competing while staying close to home and preparing for her future career. With her drive, kindness, and motto to let her light shine, she looks forward to contributing to the Trailblazers both as a student-athlete and as a teammate.
