Competitive Field Set for 2025 Showdown on the Wabash
VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes University Volleyball is set to welcome a competitive field of programs to campus for the 2025 Showdown on the Wabash, scheduled for Friday, October 3, and Saturday, October 4, inside the VU Physical Education Complex and Student Recreation Center.
The two-day invitational will feature six teams from across the Midwest and South, including Calhoun Community College (AL), Edison State Community College (OH), Lewis and Clark Community College (IL), St. Louis Community College (MO), Wabash Valley College (IL), and the host Trailblazers of Vincennes University.
Friday, October 3
Physical Education Complex (Main Floor)
- 3:00 p.m. – Vincennes vs. Edison State
- 5:00 p.m. – Calhoun vs. Wabash Valley
- 7:00 p.m. – Vincennes vs. Calhoun
Student Recreation Center
- 3:00 p.m. – Lewis and Clark vs. Wabash Valley
- 5:00 p.m. – St. Louis vs. Lewis and Clark
- 7:00 p.m. – Edison State vs. St. Louis
Saturday, October 4

- 10:00 a.m. – Vincennes vs. Lewis and Clark
- 12:00 p.m. – Wabash Valley vs. St. Louis
- 2:00 p.m. – Vincennes vs. St. Louis

- 10:00 a.m. – Edison State vs. Calhoun
- 12:00 p.m. – Calhoun vs. Lewis and Clark
- 2:00 p.m. – Wabash Valley vs. Edison State
"This event is about more than just matches — it's about bringing great volleyball to our community," said VU Head Coach Gary Sien. "The Showdown on the Wabash creates a fun, competitive environment that helps our players grow, while giving fans the chance to see a variety of talented teams in one place."
Admission for the Showdown on the Wabash is set at $12 for adults and $5 for seniors, while children 12 and under receive free admission. Vincennes University students and staff are also admitted free with a valid ID. A tournament pass good for both days will be available for $20. Fans unable to attend in person can watch all the action live on BlazerVision, the official athletic YouTube channel of VU Athletics. The tournament will be played on Eastern Standard Time.
