Zane Anderson

Bio

At VU, Zane “Zawa” Anderson's goals are ambitious but clear: personally, he wants to maintain a 200+ average, while for the team he hopes to help the Trailblazers advance to the finals. He is motivated by winning and guided by the straightforward advice to “don’t mess up.” Known for his humor and bold personality, he admits people’s first impression is usually his “red hair,” but teammates quickly learn he’s fueled by competition and driven to improve. He lists the best part of being an athlete at VU as simply his teammates, who provide daily motivation and support.

Off the lanes, Zane is pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts with the dream of attending Indiana University after Vincennes. His hobbies include sim racing and bowling, and he says he can’t imagine a week without racing. He enjoys carnitas, cookies, and La La Land as his favorite movie, while House M.D. and Laufey’s music often make his playlist. He admires Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc, whom he’d trade places with for a day just to drive an F1 car, and lists the Monaco Grand Prix as the sporting event he most dreams of attending.

Zane chose Vincennes University because of the opportunity to pursue both culinary school and bowling at a collegiate level. Supported by his parents, Carrie and Ski Anderson, and siblings Sydney and Spencer, he looks forward to building his own legacy with the Trailblazers. With his competitive edge, humor, and motto of “go flat out,” Zane is ready to make his mark for VU bowling.
