At VU, Nickolas “Nick” Hubbard's goals are straightforward but ambitious: he wants to do well in his first year and help the Trailblazers win the NJCAA Tournament. Guided by advice from his father and motivated by the desire to make his parents proud, Nick stays focused on steady progress. He wears #15 in honor of his personal journey, and he embraces his motto: “take chances.” Known for his laid-back personality, Nick admits he isn’t sure what people think when they first meet him, but his teammates know him as reliable and committed.

Off the lanes, Nick is pursuing a degree in Fire Science, with career aspirations of becoming a firefighter. His dream job is to work full time in fire service, combining his passion for helping others with his education at VU. He enjoys golf, pickleball, and duck hunting, and admits that nobody realizes how much he loves hunting. His favorite food is steak, his go-to midnight snack is simply water, and he lists Only the Brave as his favorite movie, Land Man as his favorite show, and Koe Wetzel as his favorite artist with Cabo as his favorite song. He can’t imagine a week without staying busy and says the best part of being an athlete at VU is just that — staying active and engaged.

Nick chose Vincennes University because of the welcoming campus and the chance to compete at the collegiate level. Supported by his parents, Barry Hubbard and Tarea Edwards, and his brother Camren, he looks forward to making his mark as a Trailblazer. With his humor, motivation, and competitive spirit, Nick is ready to grow in his first year with the program.
