Four Trailblazers Earn All-Region 24 Honors; Sullivan Named MVP
VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Women's Volleyball team capped its 2025 campaign with four players earning NJCAA All-Region 24 honors. The honors come on the heels of a standout season for the Trailblazers, who finished 30–10 overall, captured the Region 24 regular-season championship, finished runner-up in the Region 24 Tournament, and advanced to the NJCAA Midwest District Championship under 10th-year Head Coach Gary Sien. The Trailblazers also posted an impressive 15–1 record at home, showcasing the balance and depth of a roster featuring four sophomores and 11 freshmen.
Kenli Sullivan – All-Region / Region 24 Most Valuable Player (Outside Hitter)
Sullivan emerged as one of Region 24's most dominant freshmen, leading Vincennes with 397 kills (3.36 per set) while hitting .251 on the year. She also contributed 313 digs, 53 blocks, and 48 service aces, anchoring both the offensive and defensive fronts, a reflection of her impact and consistency at the net throughout the Trailblazers' season. Sullivan is the fifth straight Region 24 Most Valuable Player for the Trailblazers and the sixth in the last eight years since VU joined the league.
Adaline Eisenmann – All-Region (Libero)
A defensive standout, Eisenmann ranked third nationally in total digs (662) and averaged 5.05 per set, pacing a VU defense that finished second in the nation in total digs (2,300). The freshman captain's stability in serve receive and ability to control tempo were vital to VU's success.
Rylee Edwards – All-Region (Setter)
A two-year leader on the floor, Edwards directed the Trailblazer offense with precision, dishing out 910 assists (6.50 per set) while finishing second on the team in digs (366) and service aces (76). Her consistency and poise allowed Vincennes to maintain one of the NJCAA's most balanced attacks — an offense that ranked among the top in both efficiency and output throughout Region 24 play.
Taryn Thuis – All-Region (Middle Blocker)
Thuis was one of Region 24's top newcomers, finishing second on the team in kills (363) while leading VU as a freshman with a remarkable .330 hitting percentage. She also ranked among the Region 24 leaders in total blocks (159, 1.16 per set), giving the Trailblazers a physical presence on both sides of the net.
Head Coach Gary Sien praised both the team's accomplishments and the leadership of his All-Region selections. "This group worked extremely hard from day one," Sien said. "Kenli, Adaline, Rylee, and Taryn were consistent, high-level performers all season and key to everything we achieved. For four players to earn All-Region out of just 12 total spots shows the level of respect this program has earned. Each would give credit to their teammates in receiving this recognition — that's how team oriented they are. Winning 30 matches, capturing a region regular season title, and finishing among the nation's leaders is something they should all be proud of. The future is certainly bright for all four, with three set to return next season to help build on this year's success."
