Bio

A proud graduate of Christian County High School, Lazarie 'Zarie' Daniel was a three-time All-District and two-time All-Region selection, helping her team capture back-to-back district championships while surpassing 700 career points and 500 rebounds.

Zarie’s biggest motivation comes from her family and high school coaches, who taught her that hard work never goes unnoticed. Her most memorable moment came on senior night, when she delivered one of her best performances — a reminder of why she fell in love with basketball in the first place. She wears her number as a tribute to her journey, explaining, “I fell in love with it the first time I wore it, and now my little brother wears it too.” Her season goals are both personal and team-focused: graduate, make the jump to the WNBA, and help Vincennes University chase an NJCAA championship.

Off the court, Zarie’s personality shines through her creativity and humor. She enjoys coloring, listening to R&B music, and relaxing with her favorite snacks — wings and gummies. Her favorite athlete is A’ja Wilson, whose style and poise she admires. She dreams of visiting France one day, and if given the chance to trade places with anyone, she’d pick a WNBA player “just to see what it’s like to play at the highest level.”

Majoring in Business Administration, Zarie hopes to build a future in real estate while continuing her athletic journey. She carries herself with quiet confidence and gratitude, living by the advice that’s guided her most: “Be yourself.” She chose Vincennes University because she “instantly bonded with Coach Nyla,” and saw a program that shared her same drive to compete and grow.
