Bio
Eli 'Cookie' Fromm's most memorable athletic moments came from two standout achievements: pitching a perfect game in baseball and rolling a 300 in bowling, both highlights that reflect his ability to perform under pressure.
At VU, Eli’s goals are ambitious but straightforward. Individually, he wants to average over 210 and be a leader for new bowlers, while for the team he hopes to help the Trailblazers qualify for Nationals. Motivated by competition and guided by the advice, “don’t say you can’t,” he approaches each challenge with confidence. Known for his height, he admits people’s first impression is usually, “I am tall,” but his teammates quickly discover his humor, drive, and leadership qualities.
Off the lanes, Eli is pursuing a degree in Business, with long-term career plans of becoming an entrepreneur and his dream of graduating to “become a millionaire.” He enjoys golf, gaming, and bowling in his free time, and admits he can’t imagine a week without internet. His favorite foods include chicken and rice, with cereal as his go-to midnight snack. He enjoys the Hunger Games series, Dexter, and the Bad Boys movies, while listening to rap music with LeBron James as his favorite athlete. He also dreams of attending the Super Bowl, visiting Mexico, and one day breaking the record for a 900 series in a tournament.
Eli chose Vincennes University because he liked the players, the coach, and the welcoming campus environment. Supported by his parents, Derrek and Jaylyn Fromm, and his brother Drew, he says the best part of being an athlete at VU is simple: “I get to bowl.” With his size, leadership, and competitive fire, Eli is ready to be a key contributor for the Trailblazers.
Coach LeMond on Eli...
