At VU, Nicholas “Nick” Gregg's goals are clear: he wants to make it to Nationals individually and help the Trailblazers reach Nationals as a team. Guided by the advice to “keep your head up and keep moving forward,” he stays focused on steady progress. He is motivated by his dream to retire his parents and supported daily by his girlfriend, whom he admits he can’t imagine a week without. Known for his friendly and approachable personality, Nick says when people first meet him, they usually think he is “easy to talk to.” He also carries small superstitions, like once wearing the same shirt to every tournament.
Off the lanes, Nick is pursuing a degree in Business Management, with career plans in real estate and day trading. His dream job is to be a day trader, though he also hopes to build success through real estate investments. He enjoys golfing as a hobby and says nobody knows how much he enjoys talking about God. His favorite foods are wings and pizza, his favorite book series is Percy Jackson, and his favorite movie is Happy Gilmore. He also enjoys Suits on TV, country music, and the song Keep Me Sane. He dreams of traveling to Jamaica, attending a professional golf event, and one day breaking the record for the highest vertical jump.
Nick chose Vincennes University because it was close to home and affordable, while still offering the opportunity to bowl at the collegiate level. Supported by his parents, Aaron and Crystal Gregg, and siblings Haley, Emma, and Dakota, he says the best part of being an athlete at VU is the supportive environment and camaraderie of the team. With his confidence, humor, and determination, Nick looks forward to leaving his mark as a Trailblazer.
