At VU, Parker “P Steini” Steininger's goals are both personal and team-oriented. Individually, he hopes to “play better than last year,” while for the team he wants to help the Trailblazers qualify for Nationals and contend against the best in the NJCAA. He embraces the advice to “be the best person you can be” and says his biggest motivation comes from his teammates, who push him to keep improving. Known for his humor and approachable personality, Parker says he isn’t always sure what people think when they first meet him, but he makes a strong impression through his work ethic and team-first attitude.

Off the course, Parker is majoring in Business Administration with aspirations of becoming a business owner. His dream is to build a career that provides for his future family while still staying connected to the sport he loves. He enjoys fishing, playing pickleball, and traveling, and he can’t imagine a week without food — particularly wings, his favorite meal, or smart popcorn as a late-night snack. He’s a fan of The Walking Dead, the Harry Potter series, and the movie Happy Gilmore, and he lists Tiger Woods as his favorite athlete. If given the chance, he’d trade places with Woods for a day just to know what it feels like to be “the GOAT.”

Parker chose Vincennes University because of the opportunity to stay close to home, play competitive golf, and learn under Coach Dennis Chattin. Supported by his parents, Mendy and Chris Steininger, and siblings Jacqueline and Christian, he says the best part of being an athlete at VU is the chance to travel with the team. With his passion for golf, steady personality, and determination to improve, Parker looks forward to building his legacy as a Trailblazer.
