Bio

Drae Vasser prides himself on being a relentless worker and an encouraging teammate—someone whose attitude lifts everyone around him. Motivated by his family and driven by faith, Drae approaches every practice and game with one goal in mind: “Be the best you can be at all times.”

A proud graduate of Trinity High School and former member of the Louisville Magic AAU program under Coach Ellis Myles, Drae built his game on effort, humility, and trust in the process. His most memorable athletic moment came when his team won the Collins Shootout heading into his junior year—a victory that sparked his belief that dedication creates opportunity. His season goals now are to achieve 50/40/90 shooting splits and help the Trailblazers capture a national championship, continuing the legacy of excellence at Vincennes University.

Off the court, Drae’s personality shines. Known for his humor and constant good mood, he enjoys basketball, gaming, swimming, piano, and movie nights. His favorite food is corn dogs, his favorite snack is Gushers, and his dream destination is Bora Bora. He finds inspiration in LeBron James—both as a player and a leader—and jokes that if he could trade places with anyone for a day, it would be LeBron himself, “because he’s the GOAT.” His favorite saying, “U betcha,” and his love of music from NoCap reflect his laid-back but confident energy.

Majoring in Kinesiology and Sports Management, Drae plans to stay close to the game long after his playing days are done, hoping to one day retire his parents and give back to the family that motivates him. Guided by the advice “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” he embraces every challenge as part of his growth.

Drae chose Vincennes University because of its proud tradition and because, in his words, “Coach Franklin is vouched and knows what he’s doing.”

Returning from injury, Drae is set to lead as the starting point guard and projects as one of the premier floor generals in the NJCAA, known for his toughness and command of the offense.
