Bio
At VU, Cameron “Cam” Chattin's personal goals include finishing in the top five in rankings while consistently shooting an average score of 70 or better. For the team, he hopes to help the Trailblazers finish in the top three nationally and contend for a National Championship. He is motivated by his girlfriend, family, and faith, embracing the advice to “take it one shot at a time” and striving to set an example for others through his character as well as his play. Known for his respectful and positive demeanor, Cam says when people first meet him, they often remark on what a “nice, respectful young man” he is — something he carries with pride.
Off the course, Cam is majoring in Business Marketing with plans to transfer to a Division I school, earn his degree, and eventually pursue a career in professional golf. His dream is to compete on the PGA Tour, though he also hopes to build a life that includes marriage and family. He enjoys drawing, designing, and building in his free time, and says he can’t imagine a week without reading his Bible, which guides his life and values. A fan of golfer Rickie Fowler, Cam also looks up to professionals like Adam Schenk and would love to attend The Masters in person someday.
Cam chose Vincennes University because of the chance to stay close to home and play for his grandfather, Head Coach Dennis Chattin. With his competitive spirit, humility, and favorite verse — Proverbs 3:5-6 — at the center of his journey, he is ready to make an impact as a Trailblazer both on the course and in the classroom.
