Bio

Outfielder Evan Doran brings determination, resilience, and a strong competitive drive to the Vincennes University baseball program. A native of Fishers, Indiana, Doran chose to continue his academic and athletic career at VU after recognizing the value of the opportunity both financially and developmentally, allowing him to pursue a Business degree while continuing to compete at the collegiate level.

Motivated by the desire to prove himself, Evan uses past setbacks as fuel, embracing the mindset that hard work and persistence create new opportunities. His goals reflect that approach, aiming to hit above .300 at the plate while helping the Trailblazers compete for a championship season. One of the most memorable moments of his career came during a conference championship run in high school, an experience that reinforced his passion for winning and competing alongside teammates.

Known for being respectful and grounded, Evan values the relationships built through athletics and credits his time at Vincennes with helping him develop stronger networking and communication skills. Though naturally focused and competitive, he also appreciates maintaining balance away from the field, spending time hunting, fishing, and boating whenever possible.

Inspired by legendary quarterback Peyton Manning and guided by the straightforward advice that “if you’re not first, you’re last,” Evan approaches competition with confidence and urgency. Baseball remains a constant in his life — something he can’t imagine going without — and he embraces the daily routine required to improve as both a hitter and teammate.

A graduate of Fishers High School and former Indiana Primetime club player, Evan continues working toward long-term aspirations that include a future career as a sports analyst. Whether striving for individual growth or contributing to team success, he brings a steady work ethic and competitive edge to the Trailblazer outfield while focusing on making the most of every opportunity.
