Bio

Volleyball runs deep in Scarlet Konkel's family, with her parents both having competed at the collegiate level and her sister Hazel playing at Cumberland University. In fact, Scarlet proudly wears #9, the same number Hazel wore in high school and continues to wear in college, carrying on a family tradition. Motivated most by her family’s support and guidance, Scarlet embraces her father’s motivational quotes and credits them with helping her stay focused on always being the best athlete she can be.

Off the court, Scarlet is pursuing a degree in Business while exploring future career options in areas such as banking, accounting, or mathematics. She enjoys swimming, reading, playing beach volleyball, and relaxing with word searches and sudoku. She describes herself as positive and outgoing, always aiming to be a smiley, approachable teammate.

Scarlet chose Vincennes University because of the beautiful campus, strong volleyball tradition, excellent academic scholarship, and the caring support she felt from the coaching staff. With her work ethic, versatility, and motto to “Don’t be Average,” she looks forward to making an impact on and off the court as a Trailblazer.
